HTC Helps YES Tap In To The Rhythms Of Generous Montrealers
In their first year, the Tune In To YES event raised $24,000 to help keep their job seeking, entrepreneurship and artist services running for young Montrealers. To step up their game, HTC built a purpose-driven microsite in 2008 to highlight the three ways members of the Montreal community could help: attending the event, donating to the silent auction and by sponsoring/advertising through the event. Consequently, Tune In To YES2 was an amazing success, raising over $40,000 and setting the bar even higher for future events.
"This year," adds Barrell, "we knew it was going to be tough." With young people facing record job losses and the economy still reeling throughout 2009, the goal for Tune In To YES3 was to raise the same amount as the year before. "YES aimed to do this by focusing on really bringing our community together this year around the theme, 'Tap In To The Rhythms of Montreal.' So we designed all the material to draw attention to how lively the event is and the amazing artistic and entrepreneurial spirit of our city." With this committed strategy, YES once again exceeded their target, raising over $60,000 through the IgnitionWeb-based site, and the event itself.
"We're looking forward to the next Tune In To YES event," says HTC President, Tom Kouri. "It's always a fabulous time, full of vibrant and talented performers. The food is great, the guests are happy and all for a very worthy cause."
HTC is looking forward to reaching even further next year, so stay tuned!
