DESCRIPTION
MacDougall, MacDougall & MacTier is one of Canada’s oldest personal investment management services companies dating back to 1858. They are an independent, employee-owned investment dealer with offices in Montreal, Toronto, Quebec City and London, Ont.

BRANDING STRATEGY
HTC used pictures of people, descriptive slogans and an easy-to-use information architecture to create an online presence that matched the professionalism and personalization of 3macs offering.

WEB STRATEGY
Implement a multi-phase strategy for improving customer service, productivity and investing knowledge via the Web. The goal of the first phase was to provide customers with constantly up-to-date resources, including personal account information, which would allow them to further develop their knowledge and understanding of key investing principles. Subsequent phases will improve broker’s one-to-one customer relationships with personalized broker sites and provide brokers with quick access to company resources.

RESULTS
The new website was well received by 3Macs’ broker and customer community with much positive feedback. Three months after launch, average visits per day has seen an significant increase, a third of which are new visitors. Planning is currently underway for building additional functionality to continue the improvement of customer service, productivity and investing knowledge.
